This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +7 more states.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance to safeguard the bank’s information systems and digital assets.
• Design, implement, and continually enhance security measures across infrastructure, applications, and business processes.
• Lead the identification and evaluation of vulnerabilities through security assessments and penetration testing.
• Collaborate with IT teams to prioritize and address vulnerabilities effectively.
• Spearhead the development, implementation, and maintenance of identity and access management protocols.
• Oversee security event monitoring and analyze trends to bolster the security posture.
• Monitor network traffic and security logs for potential threats, anomalies, and breaches utilizing a centralized XDR system.
• Manage both technical and non-technical projects requiring security oversight.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware outbreaks and unauthorized access attempts.
• Coordinate with internal teams to mitigate the impact of incidents and prevent future occurrences.
• Integrate security controls into business processes in collaboration with business units.
• Develop and deliver security education events for employees.
• Participate in IT/IS audits, examinations, and assessments.
• Stay updated on security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery/business continuity and incident response solutions.
• Advise IT leadership and business stakeholders while ensuring regulatory and audit preparedness.
• Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 5 years of experience in information security or a related field.
• Experience in leveraging and understanding AI within the realm of security.
• Demonstrated experience in AI.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or similar qualifications.
• Experience in security monitoring, vulnerability management, and responding to security incidents.
• In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, network protocol analysis, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, VPN technology, and security tools.
• Familiarity with relevant security and compliance frameworks, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies, network protocols, and operating systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Centers.
• Understanding of information security management standards and frameworks such as PCI-DSS.
• Ability to advise all levels of the organization on security issues.
• Capacity to work independently, as part of teams, and across both external and internal stakeholder groups.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamically changing, team-oriented environment.
