This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Deliver first-line, client-focused legal support to our Sales teams regarding privacy, commercial, and legal matters.

• Analyze and negotiate commercial agreements, which may encompass SaaS agreements, data processing agreements, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, master services agreements, and statements of work.

• Collaborate with various business teams on a range of legal processes as required.

• Work closely with Sales stakeholders, particularly in the DACH region, to grasp business objectives and challenges, driving strategic enhancements.

• Team up with other legal and compliance practice groups to facilitate and unlock growth for HubSpot with a customer-oriented approach.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be qualified to practice law in Germany and possess native or fluent German language skills.

• Should have at least 5+ years of pertinent in-house legal experience.

• Must have substantial experience in reviewing commercial contracts and managing an independent negotiation process (Enterprise SaaS experience is a plus) within the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).

• Should possess outstanding legal drafting abilities.

• Must have a solid foundation in data protection and EU privacy legislation.

• Should be enthusiastic about collaborating cross-functionally with business stakeholders to comprehend strategic objectives and provide informed recommendations to meet business goals (Experience supporting Sales teams is a plus).

• Must be capable of making decisions and offering guidance/explaining the rationale behind decisions to inquisitive and empowered teams.

• Should be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and transparent environment.

• Must integrate technology and utilize/build AI in their daily practice to enhance productivity.

• Should value the customer perspective and embody a 'solve for the customer' mindset.

• Must cultivate strong trust-based relationships with team members.

• Should possess strong communication skills, especially through internal wiki, Slack, and Zoom (which are our primary communication tools).

• Must be self-motivated and solution-oriented.

• Should be passionate about the values outlined in the HubSpot Culture Code.
