This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• Take ownership of and actively oversee a designated portfolio of potential supporters, ensuring clear relationship strategies, up-to-date records, and defined next steps.
• Utilize their rugby background, credibility, and networks, collaborating with trusted connectors to secure warm introductions to key prospective donors.
• Foster genuine relationships through one-on-one meetings, small gatherings, rugby events, Pass It Back briefings, in-person visits, and virtual engagements that allow prospective donors to witness Pass It Back’s work and impact firsthand.
• Advance relationships through qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, regularly reassessing priorities and addressing any stalled or unsuitable prospects.
• Evaluate prospect readiness and collaborate with the Co-Directors and fundraising advisors to create suitable gift strategies.
• Prepare for, engage in, and, when necessary, lead major-gift discussions and solicitations.
• Leverage selected rugby and supporter events to connect with potential donors, facilitate introductions, and nurture relationships, ensuring appropriate preparation and follow-up.
• Steward Collective members through meaningful communication and engagement, identifying opportunities for renewed donations, advocacy, and introductions.
• Contribute to the Pass It Back Collective’s overall membership and revenue targets through a relationship-focused approach.
• Experience as a current or former professional or elite rugby athlete, possessing credibility and relevant connections within the rugby community.
• Ability to cultivate genuine relationships with individuals from diverse professional, cultural, and personal backgrounds.
• Excellent communication, listening, and storytelling abilities.
• Confidence in initiating conversations and sustaining relationships through consistent personal follow-up.
• Strong personal organization and sound judgment, with the capacity to work independently and asynchronously, effectively utilize shared digital platforms, and keep timely records and follow-ups.
• Willingness to learn about relationship-based fundraising and engage in significant gift discussions.
• A genuine commitment to Pass It Back, gender equality, and the potential of rugby to drive positive social change.
