Lead Commissioning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Supervise and implement all technical, construction, and commissioning tasks at customer locations.

• Ensure safe, prompt, and high-quality project delivery from site mobilization to final handover.

• Oversee daily operations and maintain communication with customers.

• Foster and maintain a robust safety culture at the site.

• Direct the testing and commissioning of substation equipment.

• Prepare, distribute, and manage all necessary site documentation.

• Plan and carry out commissioning activities according to established schedules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).

• Extensive technical experience with HV substation protection relays, SCADA systems, IEC 61850 protocols, and the commissioning of HV/LV switchgear and related equipment.

• Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting protection schemes using tools such as Omicron, Programma, and Megger.

• Solid understanding of construction and field service operations, ideally acquired in high-voltage transmission or grid-integration projects.

• Experience within the North & South Europe Grid System Integration (GSI) environment or similar turnkey HV project frameworks, supporting AC and DC transmission solutions.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
