This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Oversee the activities and responsibilities of fellow examiners
• Address and resolve escalated concerns
• Assess and track capacity
• Manage workflow and allocate tasks and orders
• Deliver training
• Contribute to hiring decisions and performance evaluations
• Conduct title examinations on intricate title orders, primarily for commercial properties
• Abstract and evaluate leases, subleases, acreage, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, plot books, and map books
• Ascertain ownership and legal limitations
• Validate legal descriptions and ensure record completeness, including for multi-site properties
• Draft title products adhering to procedural guidelines and interpretations
• Offer underwriting interpretations within defined guidelines
• Engage with customers
• Assist in commercial and industrial transactions
• Carry out additional duties as assigned
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in commercial title insurance, including title searching, examining, and drafting commitments
• Familiarity with pertinent legal and real estate terminology
• Skilled in Microsoft Office
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat/Pro
• Competent with internet, property data platforms, and company systems
• Capable of analyzing complex information and independently solving problems
• Highly organized and able to excel in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, paperless environment
• Excellent and professional communication skills with a customer service focus
• High school diploma or equivalent required
