This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for the development team.
• Engage in hands-on programming and make technical decisions as part of daily operations.
• Provide functional mentoring without having disciplinary management responsibilities.
• Implement features and address bugs within the sprint cycles.
• Tackle complex technical assignments and resolve architectural issues.
• Contribute to architectural choices concerning modularization, interfaces, and security.
• Advance core systems utilizing C#/.NET and MS SQL into robust, containerized services operating within a Kubernetes cluster.
• Focus on observability, performance, scalability, security, and deployment strategies.
• Offer technical support during refinement sessions and articulate complex technical concepts effectively.
• Enhance and streamline CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Azure DevOps.
• Implement Clean Code practices, conduct code reviews, and establish automated unit and system tests.
• Aid in shortening development cycles and ensuring more dependable deployments.
• Build, document, and disseminate knowledge throughout the team.
• Contribute to process and system documentation efforts.
• Develop best-practice manuals and technical standards.
• Mentor developers in architecture, Clean Code principles, and systems thinking.
• Assist in onboarding new team members.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional exchange.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager on technical issues and overall technical direction.
• Multiple years of experience in developing web applications using C#/.NET.
• Proficiency in working with scalable database systems, including MS SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with contemporary backend architectures and modular services.
• Ideally, experience with Angular (v15+) and RabbitMQ.
• High standards of quality, a pragmatic approach, and a comprehensive understanding of products.
• Experience in integrating new technologies and digital solutions.
• Strong grasp of the applications and limitations of AI within a business context.
• Experience with AI/LLM-assisted development; preferably with integrating AI-based features.
• Proven practical experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience in fully automated deployments and Infrastructure as Code.
• Extensive knowledge in designing, scaling, and orchestrating services.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Experience in automated testing, including unit and system tests.
• Ability to convey complex technical subjects in a clear and understandable manner.
• Interest in discovery processes alongside Product Managers and stakeholders.
• Excellent German language skills, with a proficiency of at least C1 level.
