This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct third-party audits in accordance with SGS Certification protocols and relevant standards.
• Make critical decisions during the audit process and communicate any issues outside the audit scope to SGS Business Assurance.
• Gather and analyze adequate information to support certification recommendations.
• Oversee and execute auditing activities, including planning and managing other audit team members.
• Achieve qualification as a Lead Auditor in multiple standards and perform integrated audits as necessary.
• Carry out certification audits following SGS global/local procedures and specific sector schemes and standards.
• Assess audit evidence to determine if registration should be recommended or continued.
• Utilize the SGS Certification System in all auditing functions.
• Collaborate effectively with auditor teams during the auditing process.
• Ensure customers receive a comprehensive audit experience that aligns with SGS Certification's accredited activities.
• Engage in witness audits conducted by SGS or accreditation bodies.
• Maintain credentials related to auditing.
• Follow internal standards, policies, and procedures diligently.
• A Bachelor's degree in science or bioscience is preferred; other science degrees may be considered with relevant additional training.
• At least 5 years of work experience in a recognized management role within the PCP industry, including a minimum of 2 years in quality assurance or quality and safety management system coordination (mandatory).
• A minimum of 5 years of auditing experience and certification as an ISO lead auditor, particularly for pharmaceutical or OTC products (mandatory).
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in the medical device sector (preferred).
• Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and/or ISO 50001 management systems (preferred).
• Experience in delivering training sessions (preferred).
• Proficiency in advanced-level English (mandatory).
• Proficiency in Spanish (preferred).
• Must be authorized to travel and provide auditing services in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
• Qualified as a Lead Auditor in multiple standards, such as ISO 22716, EU GMP, WHO GMP/GDP, EFfCI, EXCiPACT, ISO 15378, or ISO 9001.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 80% by car or airplane, including potential international and weekend travel.
• Ability to fulfill essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
