This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform regular coding audits across designated specialties and client accounts, ensuring the accuracy of clinical documentation and coded encounters, as well as their compliance and alignment.

• Utilize ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifier regulations, and payer-specific guidelines to support audit findings with credible references.

• Achieve assigned audit volumes within set turnaround times and quality benchmarks.

• Refer complex or ambiguous coding situations to the Senior Coding Auditor.

• Record audit findings, discrepancies, underlying causes, and corrective suggestions.

• Create individual audit reports and summary submissions.

• Keep thorough audit records and documentation.

• Gather audit data for trend analysis and reporting purposes.

• Relay findings to the coders being audited.

• Facilitate educational initiatives driven by audit results through written feedback, reference materials, huddles, and educational sessions.

• Aid in re-auditing findings to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.

• Detect patterns and communicate observations to the Coding Compliance & Audit Manager and Senior Coding Auditor.

• Stay updated with coding guidelines, payer news, and regulatory requirements.

• Identify potential compliance risks and emerging accuracy concerns.

• Assist with audit readiness efforts and maintain documentation for the audit program.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• 0–2 years of experience in physician collections, accounts receivable follow-up, and denial management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Experience with reporting and data analysis tools is preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Capability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

• Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
