This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct third-party audits in accordance with SGS Certification procedures and relevant standards.
• Make decisions pertaining to the audit process and communicate any issues that need resolution outside of the audit process to SGS CBE.
• Gather and evaluate sufficient information to advise on whether certification should be granted or renewed.
• Oversee and execute auditing activities, including planning and managing other members of the audit team.
• Attain qualification as a Lead Auditor in multiple applicable standards and perform integrated audits as necessary.
• Carry out certification audits in alignment with SGS global and local procedures, as well as sector-specific schemes and standards.
• Assess audit evidence to determine if registration should be recommended or maintained.
• Understand and effectively utilize the SGS Certification System throughout auditing activities.
• Work collaboratively with auditor teams during audits.
• Engage in witness audits conducted by SGS or accreditation bodies.
• Keep all audit-related credentials up to date.
• Comply with internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• A bachelor’s degree in science or bio-science is highly preferred; other scientific disciplines may be considered if accompanied by relevant additional training.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a recognized management role within the PCP industry, with a minimum of 2 years in quality assurance or quality and safety management system coordination (mandatory).
• A minimum of 5 years of auditing experience and certification as an ISO lead auditor, particularly for pharmaceutical or OTC products (mandatory).
• At least 4 years of experience in the medical device field (preferred).
• Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and/or ISO 50001-based management systems (preferred).
• Experience in delivering training sessions (preferred).
• Willingness to travel to Canada and Mexico for audit purposes.
• Availability and readiness to travel up to 80% of the time by car or plane.
• Capability to undertake international flights lasting over 8 hours, depending on the destination.
• Willingness to travel on weekends when necessary to meet utilization needs.
• Ability to satisfactorily perform all essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
