This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate as a vital member of an Agile team, engaging in the complete software development lifecycle, which includes requirements gathering, architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Spearhead the design, development, testing, and release of enterprise application deployments.
• Oversee and coordinate daily development tasks to guarantee the timely and high-quality delivery of essential systems.
• Supervise Operations & Maintenance (O&M) tasks, encompassing defect resolution, enhancements, system updates, and performance enhancements.
• Lead release planning, execution, and deployment efforts across UAT and production environments.
• Ensure that applications comply with IRS testing protocols and performance validation criteria.
• Act as the main technical point of contact for Government Program Managers, stakeholders, and executive leadership.
• Ensure that solutions comply with federal regulations, security, and architectural standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps.
• Support initiatives aimed at continuous improvement, such as process optimization, automation, and system scalability.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a comparable field (or equivalent experience).
• Over 7 years of experience as a Software Developer in enterprise settings.
• Proven experience acting as a Technical Lead or Task Lead on federal IT projects.
• Experience in supporting mission-critical systems in live environments.
• Strong expertise in: C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, SQL Server (T-SQL, database design, administration), and web technologies (HTML, XML, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with Agile development environments and contemporary SDLC practices.
• Solid understanding of release management, testing, and deployment procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience ensuring adherence to federal testing and performance standards (e.g., IRS guidelines).
• Capability to obtain and maintain a High-Risk Background Investigation (Public Trust or higher).
