Lead Analytics Engineer – Finance Data, FinOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Treasury, Reconciliation, and Accounting teams on processes, priorities, and data requirements.

• Develop treasury data products that encompass positions, cash flows, and liquidity management.

• Create and enhance reconciliation processes for systematic matching, handling breaks, and exceptions.

• Assist the Accounting team with data, checks, and integrations for both monthly closures and daily operations.

• Support corporate finance and investor reporting by utilizing shared models and definitions.

• Design and refine Finance data models, entities, and metrics, ensuring they are well-tested and documented.

• Establish Finance data standards and implement quality checks.

• Build integrations with various Finance systems.

• Implement automation and agents into Finance workflows to minimize repetitive manual tasks.

• Analyze Finance processes to identify areas for improvement, linking data initiatives to business costs and value.

• Report directly to the Head of Central Data.

• Own the long-term data strategy for treasury, reconciliation, and accounting.

• Mentor peers in analytics-engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in or closely associated with Finance, including treasury, reconciliation, accounting, or FP&A.

• Solid understanding of finance functions, encompassing closure processes, cash and liquidity management, reconciliations, and related reporting.

• Proficient SQL skills.

• Strong expertise in dimensional or semantic data modeling.

• Experience in creating metrics and data products that other teams depend on.

• Knowledge of ETL processes and experience with data warehouses or lakehouses.

• Proven experience in onboarding data sources from start to finish.

• Consultant-like business partnering skills with the ability to articulate solutions in terms of business value.

• Familiarity with Databricks and Unity Catalog is a plus.

• Experience integrating ERP, accounting, banking, or treasury systems is an advantage.

• Background in workflow automation or using agents within finance processes is a plus.

• Experience with CI/CD, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code is desirable.

• A background in fintech, banking, or payments is beneficial.
