Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee the semantic layer by establishing the logical data layer and centralizing business rules.

• Contribute to data governance, quality assurance, and standardization efforts.

• Structure data to improve accessibility for analysts.

• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to convert business requirements into effective dimensional models.

• Implement and advocate for AI tools, such as Claude, to enhance development, documentation, and data processing.

• Maintain and advance orchestration, unit testing, and version control methodologies.

• Employ engineering best practices within the analytics domain.

• Work alongside Data Engineers, Product Analysts, and stakeholders on the Analytics Platform team.

• Ensure data is systematically organized, readily available, and processed efficiently to support prescriptive analytics and informed company decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced SQL skills: Expertise in complex transformations and query optimization.

• Extensive experience with dimensional modeling and analytics environments.

• Practical knowledge of programming languages, preferably Python.

• Hands-on experience with orchestration systems, such as Airflow or Dagster.

• Familiarity with version control tools, such as Git.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), including optimization of table and query processing in BigQuery.

• Experience with Data Warehouse or Data Lakehouse architectures, emphasizing cost and performance optimization.

• Openness to utilizing Generative AI within the workflow.

• Experience with unit testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Knowledge of A/B testing infrastructure.

• Ability to navigate the intersection of technical and business analysis.
