Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Refactor Snowflake pipelines and create scalable data models that support growth in gaming and platforms, as well as enhance master data management.

• Develop ingestion pipelines for marketing metrics, integrate them with sales data, and implement checks and monitoring for data quality.

• Create agent-assisted workflows for month-end closing, developer payments, recoup tracking, and validation of seller statements.

• Reconcile warehouse data with platform and partner statements, flagging exceptions for human review.

• Implement row- and column-level permissioning throughout the Tableau dashboard suite using a single governed entitlement source.

• Deploy refactored Snowflake models and the master data management framework into production, accompanied by comprehensive documentation.

• Deliver marketing data pipelines complete with automated quality checks and monitoring.

• Implement agent-assisted finance workflows featuring evaluation, logging, and human-in-the-loop controls.

• Provide a reconciliation framework that includes exception reporting.

• Apply governed entitlement modeling alongside row- and column-level security across Tableau dashboards.

• Supply handover documentation and conduct knowledge-transfer sessions.

• Collaborate with finance and publishing leads to gather requirements, ensure data access, and secure acceptance of deliverables.

• Oversee the technical delivery from start to finish under the guidance of the VP, Data & Analytics, who will provide sign-off on deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics or data engineering.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, including Snowflake Scripting or stored procedures, tasks, dependencies, and streams.

• Proficient in SQL, including window functions, CTEs, and performance tuning.

• Knowledge of Python for creating pipelines, API integrations, and validating data.

• Experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, EC2) or comparable cloud services.

• Skilled in building ingestion for REST APIs, flat files and S3 drops, Fivetran or similar connectors, and handling scraped or semi-structured data.

• Experience designing warehouses that can accommodate new business units or integrated data sets, including master data and entity mapping.

• Practical experience in building automation using LLMs or agent frameworks, including evaluation, logging, and human-in-the-loop controls.

• Proven experience in creating and publishing Tableau dashboards tailored for business and finance audiences.

• Hands-on experience with Tableau Server or Cloud administration, including row- and column-level security.

• Exceptional attention to detail with a consistent habit of verifying numbers against an independent source.

• Demonstrated capability to independently deliver on fixed-term projects with changing requirements and priorities.

• Preferred background in the games industry with experience in platform sales data.

• Experience with marketing data sources is preferred.

• Prior experience in contract or consulting roles with small, agile companies is preferred.

• Must be available for remote work within the US, with at least four hours of overlap with US Pacific business hours on working days.

• Independent contractor status; US-based contractors must have a completed W-9 on file before the first invoice payment.

• Contractor is responsible for providing their own equipment and workspace.

• A signed Independent Contractor Agreement and confidentiality agreement are required before the start date.
