Lead Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain clean, tested, and transformed data models in the Data Warehouse using dbt/Dataform.

• Uphold the Single Source of Truth (SSoT) for the business.

• Create the semantic layer and keep the Data Catalog updated.

• Empower Business Analysts to create dashboards and conduct operational analyses.

• Enrich schemas, metadata, and documentation to support code and AI models.

• Define and implement testing frameworks, alert monitoring, and data observability.

• Establish best practices for DataOps, review pull requests, and manage version control.

• Mentor fellow Analytics Engineers.

• Coordinate with Data Platform and Engineering for pipeline integration and Data Contracts definition.

• Optimize data context for AI tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in data environments.

• At least 3 years specializing in Analytics Engineering.

• More than 2 years leading teams focused on Analytics Engineering.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL.

• Strong experience with dbt or Dataform in cloud environments such as GCP BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.

• Practical experience in analytical modeling methodologies: Kimball, Star Schema, and Data Vault.

• Version control using Git.

• CI/CD workflows for data (DataOps).

• Intermediate knowledge of Python.

• Experience implementing and maintaining Data Catalogs such as Datahub, Atlan, or dbt Docs.

• Familiarity with semantic layers.

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical models and guide other engineers.
