Lead Administrator, Database Administration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for all issues related to Oracle databases

• Oversee operations, installation, and performance of both SAP and non-SAP Oracle database environments

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to diagnose and resolve issues

• Manage database performance, including capacity planning and tuning

• Ensure software consistency throughout the Oracle landscape

• Engage in IT Change Management and validate or authorize changes to Oracle databases

• Keep abreast of advancements and future trends in database technology

• Work alongside internal and external clients to establish infrastructure architecture

• Support projects that impact the Oracle database landscape

• Liaise with Oracle for product support and inquiries

• Define solutions, outline requirements, and draft functional specifications

• Provide guidance on options, risks, costs, benefits, and effects on business processes and priorities

• Execute related tasks as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• At least seven (7) years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in leading architecture design and implementation

• Proficient in Oracle RAC installation and support

• Experienced in the implementation, operation, and performance management of Enterprise systems on Oracle Databases

• Familiarity with Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Advanced Compression, Oracle Identity Management, and Oracle Enterprise Manager tools is advantageous

• Experience with third-party bolt-on applications such as Vendavo, StreamServe, and EDI

• Certification is preferred

• Estimated travel requirement is 15%
