This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +2 more states.
• Contribute to organizational growth through consultative sales of clinical research and laboratory services.
• Collaborate with key decision-makers in pharmaceutical and biotech firms.
• Establish PPD as the preferred provider for clients.
• Foster professional relationships and oversee strategic accounts.
• Support the delivery of transformative therapies to patients globally.
• Utilize the portfolio of clinical trials, laboratory testing, and real-world evidence solutions.
• Cultivate and sustain executive-level relationships with important decision-makers.
• Prepare proposals and negotiate contracts effectively.
• Engage a variety of stakeholders through presentations and effective communication.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
• Travel for client meetings and business development activities over 50% of the time.
• A Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) is required; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
• A degree in life sciences, business, or a related field is preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech or medical device industry, showcasing a proven record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• A valid driver’s license and the capability to travel independently are required.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong scientific and technical understanding of drug development, clinical trials, and laboratory services.
• Capability to develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers.
• Expertise in consultative selling, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across matrix organizations.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Strategic thinking and business acumen to identify and develop opportunities.
• Willingness to travel over 50% of the time for client meetings and business development.
• Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are advantageous.
• Additional relevant Business Development certifications are beneficial.
