This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Perform site analysis and design research to support conceptual design and development processes.

• Create 2D plan and section renderings.

• Produce diagrams that effectively communicate technical information and design concepts.

• Generate 3D axonometric and perspective renderings.

• Prepare presentation materials and graphic packages for clients, stakeholders, and the public.

• Assist in the preparation of construction document packages, including drawings, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates, under guidance.

• Draft technical memoranda, meeting documentation, design research summaries, reports, and sections of reports.

• Aid in the preparation of environmental review and permitting documents with oversight and guidance.

• Contribute to construction-phase services, including site visits, field documentation, review of submittals and RFIs, and other construction management tasks.

• Support ecological fieldwork, land planning, land use analysis, and related research activities.

• Engage in interdisciplinary project teams, coordinating with landscape architects, engineers, scientists, and planners.

• Assist in quality control reviews of project documentation.

• Participate in meetings with the public, clients, and stakeholders.

• Travel to project sites to conduct fieldwork.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited institution; a master's degree is preferred.

• One to three years of applicable professional experience.

• Knowledge and interest in ecological design, restoration design, and multi-benefit planning for natural resources and community needs.

• Proficient graphic communication and design abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to prepare concise technical documents as well as detailed reports or report sections.

• Fundamental understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Lumion, and Microsoft Office.

• Ability to learn new skills, adapt to shifting priorities, work independently, and effectively contribute within multidisciplinary teams.

• Graphic and writing samples must be provided during the interview process.

• Capability to perform fieldwork in diverse terrains and weather conditions, which may involve travel and working early or late hours.
