Land Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of land and right-of-way (ROW) acquisition projects, ensuring that all tasks align with project or compliance goals and standards.

• Provide consistent status updates along with thorough documentation of communication and activities.

• Review and interpret legal documents, titles, deeds, and engineering drawings, guaranteeing precision and alignment with project goals.

• Maintain a robust understanding of project workflows, agreement specifics, and standards of professional conduct.

• Perform fieldwork, engage with stakeholders to discuss and negotiate contract terms and conditions, and foster trusted relationships within communities.

• Collaborate with public and regulatory entities, contributing to community engagement efforts.

• Communicate effectively with landowners, external consultants, contractors, and internal teams, including Operations, Construction, Environmental, and Legal Departments.

• Prioritize safety by complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, company and client policies, and employing appropriate safety equipment and practices.

• Remain proactive in your ongoing professional growth, enhancing your understanding of land management practices, negotiation techniques, and relevant legislation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant experience in land, real estate, appraisal, community relations, or right-of-way positions.

• A degree or diploma in land management, real estate, environmental science, project management, land administration, or a comparable field is preferred.

• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities, capable of navigating intricate stakeholder dynamics.

• Proficient in interpreting laws, legal documents, contracts, and engineering drawings.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Class 5 license and access to a dependable vehicle.
