LabVantage Developer, BA

📋 Description

• Install, configure, manage, develop, test, and sustain LabVantage LIMS.

• Act as a GxP LIMS, ELN, and LES administrator, developer, solution architect, and technical documenter for LabVantage-based systems within regulated environments.

• Design, implement, and support ELN/LES functionalities, including template creation, policy setup, and control configuration.

• Oversee the complete data migration and transformation for LabVantage LIMS implementations — extracting legacy data from diverse source systems (databases, flat files, spreadsheets, third-party LIMS/ELN platforms) and architecting Data File Definitions (DFDs) and Configuration Migration Tool (CMT) packages to accurately map, transform, and load data while ensuring compliance with validation and data integrity standards.

• Develop automation scripts (SQL, Groovy/Java, Python, or similar) to expedite data extraction, transformation, and loading cycles — reducing manual labor and compressing migration timelines across projects.

• Utilize AI-enabled tools and accelerators to enhance migration and automation processes — including intelligent data mapping, automated transformation logic generation, and validation testing support — to minimize manual effort and enhance delivery speed and accuracy.

• Create and customize reports utilizing Jaspersoft Studio and LabVantage reporting tools.

• Collect and convert user requirements into functional specifications, technical designs, workflows, and controlled system documentation.

• Draft and maintain compliant SOPs, work instructions, installation qualifications, change control records, testing documentation, and architectural documentation.

• Provide support for initial deployment and ongoing software lifecycle activities for LIMS-enabled testing laboratories, including validation, release coordination, change management, production support, and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• B.S. in Pharma, Life Sciences, or Biology.

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in LabVantage LIMS implementation and customization (flexibility based on depth of automation/scripting expertise).

• Proven experience in administering, configuring, developing, testing, and supporting large LabVantage-based LIMS solutions.

• Experience with both GxP and Non-GxP implementations.

• Experience in validating LIMS changes within an active GxP environment.

• Required proficiency in Groovy and SQL; familiarity with Java, JavaScript, or Python is a plus.

• Experience with Oracle or other relational databases, and REST/API integration is also advantageous.

• Preferred familiarity with AI-enabled tools or accelerators used in data migration, transformation, or automation workflows.
