LabVantage Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Install, configure, manage, develop, test, and maintain LabVantage LIMS.

• Act as a GxP LIMS, ELN, and LES administrator, developer, solution architect, and technical documenter for LabVantage-based systems in regulated settings.

• Design, implement, and support ELN/LES features, including template creation, policy establishment, and control configuration.

• Manage the entire data migration and transformation process for LabVantage LIMS implementations — extracting legacy data from various sources (databases, flat files, spreadsheets, third-party LIMS/ELN platforms) and architecting Data File Definitions (DFDs) and Configuration Migration Tool (CMT) packages to map, transform, and load data in full compliance with validation and data integrity standards.

• Develop automation scripts (SQL, Groovy/Java, Python, or similar) to expedite data extraction, transformation, and loading cycles — minimizing manual effort and shortening migration timelines across projects.

• Utilize AI-enabled tools and accelerators to enhance migration and automation initiatives — including intelligent data mapping, automated transformation logic generation, and validation testing support — to decrease manual efforts and enhance delivery speed and precision.

• Create and tailor reports using Jaspersoft Studio and LabVantage reporting tools.

• Collect and translate user requirements into functional specifications, technical designs, workflows, and controlled system documentation.

• Draft and uphold compliant SOPs, work instructions, installation qualifications, change control records, testing documentation, and architecture documentation.

• Assist with initial deployment and ongoing software lifecycle activities for LIMS-enabled testing laboratories, encompassing validation, release coordination, change management, production support, and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• B.S. in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Chemistry/Biology/Chemical Engineering) with solid programming experience or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience with LabVantage LIMS implementation and customization (flexible based on the level of automation/scripting expertise).

• Proven experience in administering, configuring, developing, testing, and supporting substantial LabVantage-based LIMS solutions.

• Experience with both GxP and Non-GxP implementations.

• Experience validating LIMS modifications in an active GxP environment.

• Proficiency in Groovy and SQL is required; familiarity with Java, JavaScript, or Python is a plus.

• Experience with Oracle or other relational databases, as well as REST/API integration, is also advantageous.

• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools or accelerators applied to data migration, transformation, or automation workflows is preferred.
