Labor Relations Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership and execution for programs, projects, and initiatives that support GE Vernova’s labor and employee relations strategies in alignment with the priorities of the businesses, particularly in Europe.

• Manage and lead the European Works Council, facilitating the GEV labor and employee relations strategy through European-level projects that advance the CoE’s mission.

• Ensure the alignment and implementation of a comprehensive labor relations strategy across various segments.

• Coordinate and maintain consistency across businesses regarding project proposals, information dissemination, consultation processes, and the implementation of changes.

• Create standard procedures for preparing business changes that require engagement in information and consultation.

• Design Front Line Leadership training for People Leaders and HR to provide best practice guidance on employee engagement, communication, and change management.

• Oversee the planning and execution of L&ER projects, including transformation and restructuring initiatives, M&A/BD activities, consultations, negotiations, and training programs, ensuring alignment across segments.

• Actively participate as a member of the L&ER COE team, focusing on priorities that support the CoE’s objectives.

• Apply lean tools within our lean culture to advocate for GE Vernova’s transformation.

• Identify and disseminate best practices.

• Support governance by maintaining data and metrics.

• Collaborate with HR professionals to drive initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge or experience.

• Proven experience in managing multiple change projects within a complex organization in Europe.

• Experience in managing a European Works Council and/or multiple country-level works councils (Group structure or otherwise).

• Expertise in managing labor relations across jurisdictions to ensure consistency, build a team to identify strategic priorities, and deliver impactful change and support for business operations.

• Significant experience with increasing HR responsibilities, particularly in labor relations or employee relations within a Production, Maintenance, or Services environment.

• Demonstrated capability to make independent decisions, manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment, and effectively interface with all organizational levels.

• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused and "team first" approach.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.

• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented and process-driven, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• Willingness to travel approximately 35% of the time.
