• Provide guidance and leadership regarding employee relations and interactions with unions or works councils.
• Counsel management on legal, labor law, regulatory matters, and risk management strategies.
• Possess extensive knowledge and proven expertise in labor relations legal frameworks at both European and country levels.
• Have considerable experience in negotiating and consulting with employee representative bodies throughout Europe, as well as advising on labor relations strategies, engagement, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
• Remain informed about best practices, macro trends, and changes in legal and regulatory frameworks related to labor and employee relations in Europe.
• Oversee and lead the European Works Council, facilitating GEV's labor and employee relations strategy by spearheading projects at the European level to support the CoE’s mission.
• Ensure alignment and implementation of a comprehensive labor relations strategy across various segments.
• Coordinate and ensure consistency across business units concerning project proposals, information dissemination, consultation processes, and change implementation.
• Develop standardized procedures for preparing business changes that require engagement in information and consultation.
• Create Front Line Leadership training for People Leaders and HR to provide best practice guidance on employee engagement, communication, and change management.
• Direct the planning and execution of L&ER projects, including transformation and restructuring initiatives, M&A/BD activities, consultations, negotiations, and training programs, ensuring alignment across segments.
• Actively participate as a member of the L&ER COE team, responsible for prioritizing tasks to support the CoE’s objectives.
• Leverage lean tools within our lean culture to advocate for GE Vernova’s transformation.
• Identify and disseminate best practices.
• Aid in governance by maintaining relevant data and metrics.
• Collaborate with HR professionals to advance initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge or experience.
• Proven experience in managing multiple change projects within a complex organization in Europe.
• Experience with a European Works Council and/or multiple country-level works councils (Group structure or similar).
• Expertise in managing labor relations across different jurisdictions to promote consistency, build a team to identify strategic priorities, and implement meaningful changes that support business operations.
• Significant experience with increasing HR responsibilities, particularly focusing on LR or ER in Production, Maintenance, and/or Services environments.
• Demonstrated capacity to make independent decisions, prioritize conflicting demands in a fast-paced setting, and effectively engage with all organizational levels.
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities with a customer-oriented, “team first” approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation delivery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Detail-oriented and process-driven, with robust organizational and prioritization skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 35% or more of the time.
