
Labor & Employee Relations Specialist – North America

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the main advisor for employee relations issues across North America, encompassing performance management, disciplinary measures, leaves of absence, grievances, investigations, and terminations.
• Execute and oversee workplace investigations, pinpoint root causes, and suggest suitable corrective measures.
• Collaborate with managers, HR, and the North America Labor & Employee Relations Center of Excellence to guarantee consistent and compliant application of policies, procedures, and employment laws.
• Mentor and develop people leaders to effectively tackle employee relations challenges and enhance leadership skills.
• Assist in the creation, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of employee relations policies, procedures, toolkits, and standard operating procedures.
• Handle a significant volume of assigned labor and employee relations cases.
• Provide ad hoc consultations to people leaders across specified operating companies and the Life Sciences sector in North America.
• Serve as the key liaison between designated Life Sciences operating companies in North America and the enterprise Labor & Employee Relations Center of Excellence.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in Employee Relations, Labor Relations, HR Business Partnering, Employment Law, or a related HR field.
• Proven experience managing a diverse array of employee relations issues, including high-volume and complex case management.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. labor and employment laws as well as best practices in employee relations.
• Capacity to exercise sound judgment, influence stakeholders, and effectively resolve issues within a matrixed environment.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and coaching abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
• Preferred: experience addressing employee and labor relations issues in Canada and/or Puerto Rico.
• Preferred: experience in manufacturing, laboratory, or other operational settings.
