This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulates and implements Business Plans and Sales Strategies for Regional and National Wholesale Accounts with guidance and support from the Sales Team Lead.
• Establish and nurture strategic, long-term, value-generating relationships with high-volume customers to achieve organic growth and align with long-term company goals.
• Oversees the planning and execution of trade promotions within approved parameters.
• Cultivates value-adding relationships at all levels, including but not limited to: Category Manager, Director, VP, and Operations.
• Evaluates market potential, identifies challenges and opportunities, and formulates action plans to attain desired business outcomes.
• Projects sales for existing and new products and promotions on a monthly basis.
• Assesses the effectiveness of Trade and Omni-Channel initiatives.
• Collaborates with the Customer Service Department and other relevant functions to share essential information and maintain a harmonious relationship.
• Works alongside the Marketing Department on plans and issues.
• Manages Market Development Funds to stay within budget while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Regularly participates in and oversees trade shows, managing logistics, exhibitor activities, and customer engagement.
• Engages with a range of wholesale customers and distributors, including but not limited to UNFI Corporate, Cub Foods, Festival Foods, Amazon, Door Dash, and more.
• Supervises and provides daily leadership and direction to a Business Development Manager.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year institution or equivalent relevant experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant Key Account Management experience in the CPG industry is required.
• Previous experience with wholesale customers and distributors, including but not limited to UNFI, Amazon, DoorDash, etc., is required, including managing customer relationships, leading account planning, and driving sales growth in a complex distributor environment.
• Proven direct leadership experience managing sales or account team members is required.
• Strong understanding of Nielsen/IRI Data and the capability to extract consumer and customer insights from this data.
• Proficient in data exploration, ETL processes, and visualization techniques.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 Excel, Power BI, Excel, and Tableau.
• Capability to develop and utilize data tools to enhance the broader team's proficiency and data literacy.
• Ability to mentor and train the broader organization to elevate the team's foundational knowledge and confidence in data literacy across diverse learning levels.
• Competence in delivering key insights based on data analysis to offer recommended solutions and facilitate informed business decisions.
• Skill in defining appropriate KPIs and measuring results based on specific OpCo Focus, such as increasing revenue, profits, units/volume, velocity, door count, and placement density/depth.
• Ability to identify the data systems utilized by new OpCos and leverage insights for the Sales Team.
