
Key Account Manager – Water Treatment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• You will report to the Central Area Manager and are expected to meet your individual commercial targets in alignment with our business strategy.
• Management of industrial water treatment applications will be part of your responsibilities, which includes the routine testing of cooling and boiler water treatment applications for customers at your assigned locations.
• Initially, you will engage in a roughly 20/80 ratio of new business sales to key account management, which encompasses sales, service, and consultancy for existing clients.
• You will oversee all sales activities, account correspondence, contracts, orders received, new business implementation, troubleshooting, and follow-up within your territory.
• Monthly forecasting of area financial performance will be required.
• The specific clientele includes sectors such as food and beverage, metal processing, and general manufacturing.
• You will interact with various technical and engineering site contacts as well as commercial buyers among your customers.
• It is essential to utilize Solenis processes and systems to fulfill customer needs and uphold compliance obligations.
• A graduate degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is preferred, although relevant years of experience may substitute for a degree.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales or account management within the water treatment industry is highly advantageous.
• Strong technical understanding of boiler and cooling water treatment products and applications is necessary.
• Familiarity with other water treatment applications and/or experience in selling biocides, polymers, and defoamers is beneficial.
• A customer-focused approach is essential, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and meet the expectations of demanding clients.
• Attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset are critical for achieving our strategic business KPIs and compliance requirements.
