This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Cultivate and enhance relationships with both current customers and prospective clients.
• Actively seek and engage in new business opportunities.
• Initiate strategies that drive increased sales, optimize pricing, lower costs, minimize complaints, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Ensure prompt follow-up on all actions stemming from customer visits.
• Continuously enhance our Voice of Customer metrics.
• Create a sales plan tailored to each customer and the overall region.
• Develop and manage annual sales budgets for each account.
• Meet monthly and annual objectives for volume, revenue, and profit margins.
• Lead the forecasting process, ensuring both accuracy and transparency.
• Track and report on pricing and volume trends.
• Expand Huhtamaki’s market share throughout the DACH & BENELUX regions.
• Identify new markets, segments, and avenues for growth.
• Collaborate closely with Huhtamaki Customer Service in Alf, Germany.
• Oversee the entire complaints process, including follow-up and resolution.
• Report on the status of complaints, including volumes, root causes, and cost implications.
• Work closely with production facilities to resolve quality issues and ensure consistent delivery performance.
• Manage customer payments and address outstanding debts.
• Monitor and recommend adjustments to customer credit limits.
• Manage and mitigate aging stock within the region.
• Prepare weekly reports that encompass: Market developments (wholesale & retail), customer-related issues, complaints, gains & losses, competitor activities, pricing, and product trends.
• Compile monthly reports summarizing key developments and internal requirements.
• Produce comprehensive visit reports that include: Sales compared to budget and previous year, inventory and debt status, action lists with timelines, and project updates.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Commercial, International Business, Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of B2B sales experience, with a background in the manufacturing sector, preferably within the packaging industry or another technical, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Established experience and a robust network in the retail sector.
• Demonstrated history of ongoing commercial improvement and success.
• Strong grasp of international trade, business administration, and foundational finance.
• Technical aptitude — capable of evaluating the technical implications of customer requests.
• Proficient in establishing and sustaining long-lasting commercial relationships.
• Ideally experienced with Salesforce and Power BI.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
• An international perspective with the capacity to operate across cultures and functions.
• A good listener with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (both spoken and written), with a preference for proficiency in German.
