• Serve as the Territory Sales Manager for our Material Handling, Port, and OTR product lines.
• Function as the account manager for dealers, targeted accounts, and strategic clients within your designated territory.
• Discover opportunities by conducting customer needs analysis and leveraging knowledge of competitor offerings.
• Act as a business consultant with your target accounts to effectively communicate the value proposition, enhancing their operations.
• Drive sales to new End Users, ultimately boosting the revenue and profitability of the Specialty Industrial Business Area (BA).
• Build business within the profitability objectives set for the Industrial BA.
• Collaboratively manage an effective pricing strategy while implementing it individually for your target accounts.
• Identify prospects for new product lines.
• Support the development of product strategies tailored to target accounts, ensuring existing product lines are either updated or phased out in alignment with the normal product life cycle, thus protecting Continental Tire North America's market share.
• Conduct market intelligence to pinpoint target accounts and define geographic focus areas.
• Oversee the execution of strategic marketing, sales, and operational initiatives aimed at supporting your identified target accounts.
• Make sales calls and hold face-to-face meetings according to pre-established call plans.
• Collaborate with the Regional Manager in the monthly Forecasting Evolution.
• Meet assigned sales targets within your region.
• Engage in sales meetings, product training sessions, and trade events.
• Bachelor’s degree coupled with 3+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in field sales.
• Background in the fleet industry.
• Possession of a valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to travel extensively, approximately 50-75% of the time.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is mandatory.
