This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Actively identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities in the Biotech, Pharmaceutical, Pre-clinical, CRO, and R&D sectors.
• Conduct discovery sessions to reveal prospect pain points and provide customized presentations.
• Deliver impactful technical presentations to Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Lab Managers, and heads of Procurement.
• Keep track of industry trends and competitor activities to pinpoint emerging market segments.
• Manage the complete sales cycle for capital equipment and microscopy-as-a-service solutions.
• Employ ZSP and Challenger Sales methodologies to qualify opportunities and challenge the status quo.
• Act as the main technical and commercial point of contact for established accounts.
• Ensure meticulous CRM maintenance for an up-to-date sales funnel and accurate forecasting.
• Create technically precise quotes and proposals that meet customer application requirements.
• Stay highly aware of laboratory risks and uphold strict personal safety standards.
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within biotech, pharma, or industrial sectors.
• A demonstrated history of selling high-value laboratory instrumentation.
• Proficient knowledge of advanced microscopy, particularly Laser Scanning Confocal Microscopy and Super-Resolution techniques.
• Must have an understanding of imaging beyond simple capture, including automated time-lapse, Z-stacking, and tiling, with a strong focus on their practical applications in an industrial R&D or QA/QC context.
• Essential knowledge and experience in biological applications and comprehensive workflow solutions.
• Expertise in image analysis, bioinformatics, and AI-driven data quantification is regarded as a significant advantage.
• Proven success in managing and expanding key accounts in a technical or scientific domain.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Safety regulations for Biosafety Level 3 preferred, including safe handling of Level 3 pathogenic biohazards.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, Customer Relationship Management software (e.g., Salesforce), and virtual presentation tools.
• Must showcase the ability to deliver compelling technical presentations in both in-person and virtual settings.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and provide valid documentation upon request.
