This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of Pet Food Expert’s brands and products, market trends, and retailer strategies to enhance sales efforts.
• Meet Pet Food Experts territory sales goals by driving sustainable and profitable sales growth through the effective implementation of Vendor Development category/brand strategies and programs with Key Retailers.
• Develop and implement business strategies specific to Key Retailers, utilizing analytical tools to evaluate market trends and identify key opportunities for growth.
• Build strong business relationships with Key Retailers, Vendor Partners, and key community influencers to establish market leadership.
• Collaborate with colleagues and Vendor Partners to foster sustainable retailer partnerships and promote sales growth.
• Encourage loyalty to Pet Food Experts brands/products by cultivating Retailer supporters/champions within the territory to achieve territory sales objectives.
• Coordinate data-driven sales initiatives using analytical tools, and partner with RSM, Vendor Partners, and colleagues to ensure effective implementation.
• Execute Vendor Development programs to generate new sales by prioritizing customers, optimizing call routes and planning, adhering to in-store protocols, and establishing effective follow-up processes.
• Keep detailed records of contacts and interactions using HubSpot.
• Enhance knowledge of industry trends, brand/product details, and the competitive landscape.
• Strong business insight, along with proven sales, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
• Function within a culture of individual accountability to enhance company performance.
• Demonstrate exceptional planning and organizational abilities.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effectively interact with various management levels to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
• Consistently meet deadlines and execute responsibilities with accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as in cohesive team settings.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and personal dedication.
• Capability to develop and maintain significant relationships.
• Proficient in computer skills, preferably with Google Suite.
• Clean driving record as confirmed by MVR (initial and annual review and approval of MVR).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including by car and air.
