This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Meet the sales budget for the designated territory while contributing to the overall sales targets of the department.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize business challenges within the designated territory, then develop and implement effective tactical plans that align with strategic goals.
• Create detailed area plans utilizing a logic-based model to promote sustainable performance.
• Carry out planned activities and review progress weekly, evaluating effectiveness and refining tactics through a systematic PDCA cycle.
• Provide weekly updates regarding actions, outcomes, and best practices within the Sales department, facilitating the implementation of effective initiatives across various territories.
• Establish and maintain robust, trust-based relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, academic societies, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Organize and execute scientific and promotional events that align with the sales objectives of both the territory and the department.
• Collaborate with wholesaler sales, extending outside the assigned territory when necessary, to ensure smooth and compliant product distribution.
• Convert insights into actionable strategies and assist in the creation of impactful promotional materials.
• Collect competitive intelligence and customer insights from medical institutions, actively participating in knowledge sharing and capability development within the commercial function.
• Continuously improve product and disease-area knowledge to become a highly trusted partner for specialists, ensuring a level of expertise that meets or surpasses customer expectations.
• Successfully complete internal assessments required for commercial activities.
• If assessments are not passed, undertake mandatory post-assessment training to acquire essential product and disease knowledge.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• At least 5 years of sales experience in the Japanese pharmaceutical industry.
• A valid Medical Representative Certification.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to different locations.
• Native-level proficiency in Japanese.
• Familiarity with Parkinson’s disease or Women's Health and associated therapeutic areas.
• Practical experience in a Marketing function.
• Experience in team leadership and/or contributing to the management of a sales organization.
• Experience in people management.
• Demonstrated experience in managing KOL relationships.
• Background in marketing and/or brand management.
• Gather and analyze insights from KOLs and healthcare professionals regarding Orion products in the Japanese market, using this information to support strategic development and the creation of effective promotional materials.
• Conduct market evaluations for new products and pipeline candidates, analyze insights from KOLs, and deliver timely and structured feedback to relevant internal stakeholders.
• Execute assigned responsibilities that facilitate the effective operation of the commercial organization and promote cross-functional collaboration.
