• Manage a portfolio consisting of 8 to 10 high-value enterprise accounts acquired by our sales representatives.
• Focus on account retention and achieving year-over-year growth, which constitutes your quota.
• Facilitate trust transition by taking over accounts from the original sales rep and establishing yourself as the client's primary partner.
• Oversee the sales process by coordinating efforts among sales, creative, and production teams.
• Actively identify new opportunities within your accounts.
• Prepare proposals and deliver client presentations, with Production Managers handling the technical quotes.
• Provide light oversight post-sale to ensure that delivery teams are well-prepared for success.
• Develop strong relationships with various stakeholders within each account, ranging from program owners to executive sponsors.
• Take responsibility for accounts opened by sales representatives and gain the client's trust to be their main point of contact.
• Create a comprehensive map of each client's annual event calendar and proactively position Meeting Tomorrow for every opportunity.
• Collaborate with clients to scope new programs, develop proposals, and present the work.
• Coordinate the sales, creative, and production teams throughout the deal cycle to guarantee a seamless transition to delivery.
• Conduct regular business reviews to demonstrate value, address satisfaction, and align on priorities.
• Maintain CRM hygiene, including pipeline management, account notes, contact maps, and accurate forecasting.
• Represent Meeting Tomorrow at industry events, client dinners, and select onsite programs, which may require approximately 10% travel.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in account management, client success, or B2B sales.
• Prior account management experience within an event agency is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of retaining and expanding complex enterprise accounts, supported by retention metrics.
• Experience in transitioning accounts from a sales representative or another owner and successfully establishing yourself as the primary partner for the client.
• Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder accounts effectively, managing daily contacts and gaining credibility with senior executives.
• Proficiency in CRM systems is essential (NetSuite, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar), with experience in NetSuite being advantageous.
• Knowledge of production processes is beneficial but not mandatory; we will provide training on the technical aspects if you possess the other necessary skills.
