This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee sales operations in a designated region for ADS accounts, which includes, but is not limited to, lead generation, drafting sales proposals and quotes, leading proposal presentations including the development and creation of presentations, formulating pricing strategies, negotiating and securing sales contracts, and delivering signed contracts to Operations.
• Cultivate ADS accounts within a region and formulate strategies to address the unique needs of each client.
• Actively engage in local industry associations.
• Deliver technical presentations at conferences and sales seminars.
• Promote concepts and finalize accounts with municipal wastewater and consulting engineering clients.
• Achieve and/or surpass individual revenue targets while preserving and enhancing sold margins by collaborating with Operations managers to establish competitive pricing for opportunities.
• Promptly follow up on leads generated through both corporate and regional initiatives for ADS accounts.
• Maintain daily and weekly reports in the contact management database (CRM) regarding ADS account prospecting activities, including schedules, opportunity management, and contract status.
• Adhere to on-site safety regulations.
• Initiate project kick-off meetings prior to the commencement of projects for ADS accounts.
• Collaborate closely with Operations to ascertain specific project requirements for cost estimation and act as the client liaison for ADS accounts.
• Assist in contract interpretation and initial legal assessment.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Familiarity with and understanding of collection systems or open channel hydraulics is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant direct sales experience is preferred, with exposure to accounts within the designated territory being advantageous.
• Capability to develop business from home using virtual presentation skills.
• Proven ability to advocate for concepts and ideas to stimulate customer demand.
• Established track record of identifying and acquiring new accounts successfully.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required, along with outstanding listening abilities.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate across functions with a keen focus on customer satisfaction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Previous experience with sales and sales management tracking databases is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time weekly within the territory.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
