This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Meet or surpass annual revenue objectives for designated accounts by utilizing relationships to deepen engagement with existing clients and seeking out new clients in the bio/pharmaceutical research, development, and manufacturing sectors.
• Recognize and secure sales opportunities through face-to-face meetings and virtual presentations.
• Formulate and implement detailed multi-year account strategies that align with corporate goals.
• Facilitate Joint Steering Committees and conduct Quarterly Joint Business Reviews.
• Cultivate pipeline opportunities within accounts, including upselling, cross-selling, expanding to new sites, and exploring new therapeutic areas or modalities.
• Collaborate effectively across the organization to promote opportunities.
• Employ a disciplined qualification process to filter out non-promising opportunities in the early stages.
• Manage relationships related to renewals and expansions based on performance and strategic alignment.
• Generate new business that aligns with our market focus, operational capabilities, and laboratory capacity.
• Establish operational success metrics for each account and monitor value realization.
• Use expertise to mentor colleagues within the Business Development team.
• Proven experience in sales for a service-oriented company within the bio/pharmaceutical sector – CDMO, CRO, or CTO.
• Hands-on GMP lab experience with a biotech or pharmaceutical company is advantageous.
• Recent experience with business travel and conducting in-person client sales and business review meetings.
• Strong scientific understanding and capability to assimilate new technical information.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive outlook.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, along with attention to detail, strong computer proficiency, scientific knowledge, and organizational abilities.
• Proven track record in identifying and developing sales leads, delivering professional presentations, organizing and leading business review meetings, managing the sales process to closure, and negotiating contracts.
