This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Attain an in-depth comprehension of the complexities, pressures, and opportunities related to the decision-making matrix within each account. Use this comprehensive understanding to communicate anticipated decision drivers and unmet needs of payers/providers and their influencers to the brand teams, ensuring a holistic analysis of key account situations.
• Emphasize the cross-functional implications of expected changes in the payer/provider landscape to the Integrated Franchise Teams (IFTs) and brand teams, enriching the Brand Team's foresight about the future.
• Foster trusted and strategic relationships with payers/providers to foresee access barriers and effectively align with the agendas, plans, and objectives of the respective key accounts.
• Identify opportunities and collaborate across functions to engage in mutually beneficial partnerships with key accounts, positively influencing contracting and tendering opportunities for product access.
• Formulate strategies and detailed engagement plans tailored to accounts with clear objectives and activities to optimize the use, funding, and access of AbbVie products, considering the long-term goals of the entire product portfolio.
• Negotiate, finalize, and execute deals while supporting or leading the contracting and tendering process, including facilitating the development and presentation of proposals to achieve profit targets.
• Consistently monitor the execution and impact of activities and the performance of key accounts to continually enhance their effect on the bottom line.
• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business-related field, or equivalent.
• Relevant experience with a proven track record of success in sales or consultative selling roles within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
• Capability to translate strategies into actionable and feasible key account engagement plans.
• Ability to lead, inspire, and coordinate cross-functional teams in the field.
• Proficiency in negotiating, finalizing, and executing Contracts and Tenders (C&T) with key accounts and complex customer networks.
• Strong analytical, business planning, and financial acumen skills, alongside a solid understanding of pharmaco-economic principles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of payer/provider mindsets and motivations in the relevant local context.
• In-depth understanding of the payer/provider decision-making process, including identification of key stakeholders/influencers, plus proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, for all non-English speaking countries.
• Demonstrated success in specific key account (payer/provider) experience, both strategically and tactically, within the relevant local context is preferred.
• Leadership experience within specific key accounts through participation in the key account decision-making process during C&T situations (if applicable) is preferred.
