K-12 Math Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide tutoring to students in our online classroom in an engaging and supportive manner.

• Tailor lesson plans to address the specific needs of students and maintain their interest in the material.

• Get acquainted with the student’s school curriculum.

• Exhibit professionalism and accountability consistently by arriving on time for tutoring sessions, responding promptly to students and parents, and ensuring students are responsible for their assignments.

• Foster an open, safe, and positive learning atmosphere.

• Consistently document student progress and share this information with both students and parents.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed or in-progress Bachelor’s degree.

• A confident and engaging leader in discussions.

• Demonstrated high school level expertise in academic subjects through educational credentials or relevant experience.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Availability during after-school hours and/or weekends; summer daytime availability is an advantage.

• Candidates must successfully pass a qualifying exam.

• Access to a dependable internet connection and a quiet workspace.

• Experience with one-on-one tutoring is preferred.

• Previous online teaching experience is preferred.
