Junior Software Engineer – Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with senior engineers to deliver actual product code, including UI components, API endpoints, and the features themselves.

• Develop and uphold the test suites that ensure our integrity — encompassing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests across the React frontend and Python backend.

• Take responsibility for test infrastructure and continuous integration: managing fixtures, test data, addressing flaky tests, and overseeing the pipelines crucial for the team.

• Create internal tools that enhance the efficiency of the entire team.

• Participate in code reviews, receive feedback, and quickly improve through effective feedback loops.

• Gradually take on more responsibilities as you progress — from strengthening a feature area to owning it completely.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in software development and testing.

• Extensive experience with end-to-end testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright).

• Strong proficiency in state-of-the-art AI tooling.

• Solid foundation in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python.

• A passion for building and shipping features, not just testing them.

• A keen understanding of how software can fail — you naturally think in terms of edge cases.

• A strong inclination towards shipping products and the ambition to evolve into a full software engineering role.
