Junior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee ServiceNow queues and deliver progress updates

• Design, maintain, and support ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing Azure Data Factory

• Monitor and resolve issues in pipelines developed using Azure Data Factory, Striim, and Microsoft Fabric

• Conduct root cause analysis for ETL failures and implement lasting solutions

• Troubleshoot data transformation, ingestion, and integration challenges across various data sources

• Supervise production workflows to ensure SLA compliance and data integrity

• Collaborate with client stakeholders to comprehend issues, provide updates, and facilitate resolution

• Analyze logs, pipeline executions, and identify performance bottlenecks

• Assist with the deployment, testing, and migration of ETL solutions across different environments

• Partner with data engineers, architects, and business teams to create scalable data integration solutions

• Document technical resolutions, troubleshooting procedures, and operational runbooks

• Engage in production support and incident management tasks

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–4 years of experience in Data Engineering or ETL Support

• Practical experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)

• Proficient knowledge of Striim for real-time data integration and CDC pipelines

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, encompassing Data Factory, Lakehouse, or Data Engineering workloads

• Strong grasp of ETL/ELT concepts and best practices for data integration

• Experience in troubleshooting failed ETL jobs, pipeline issues, and data quality challenges

• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and troubleshooting purposes

• Familiarity with relational databases and cloud-based data solutions

• Understanding of production monitoring and incident management workflows

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities

• Capability to confidently engage with client stakeholders

• Skill to prioritize multiple production challenges in a dynamic environment

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred

• Preferred: experience with Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, or SQL Server; basic knowledge of Python or PowerShell; understanding of CI/CD concepts; familiarity with Git
