Junior Quality Analyst – QA/Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist in analyzing functional requirements, business rules, and acceptance criteria.

• Create scenarios, test cases, and checklists for lower-complexity features, with guidance from the team.

• Conduct manual functional, exploratory, and regression testing on web applications.

• Aid in integration testing and user acceptance testing by adhering to defined scenarios.

• Identify and document bugs, including evidence, reproduction steps, and both expected and actual results.

• Monitor logged defects and execute retesting once fixes are applied.

• Record executed tests and their outcomes in line with team standards.

• Assist in validating deliverables prior to their release into production.

• Communicate inquiries, obstacles, and results to the Product and Development teams.

• Provide support for basic API testing and simple database queries, as required and with guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fundamental understanding of software testing principles and the software development lifecycle.

• Acquaintance with functional, exploratory, and regression testing.

• Basic skills in developing test scenarios and test cases.

• Capacity to comprehend requirements and acceptance criteria, seeking assistance when needed.

• Familiarity with the identification and documentation of bugs.

• Understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Strong organizational abilities for documenting tests and supporting evidence.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills and a readiness to collaborate as part of a team.

• Enthusiasm for learning and advancing a career in software quality assurance.

• Experience in testing web applications is advantageous.

• Basic familiarity with API testing using Postman or a similar tool is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of SQL for simple queries is a plus.

• Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or comparable tools is a plus.
