Junior Peer Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct outbound calls to members focusing on designated health interventions or quality initiatives.

• Establish a connection with members by sharing personal experiences as a member and peer.

• Offer health education and promote positive behavior modifications.

• Guide members in developing and executing strategies to reduce risks linked to prevalent health issues.

• Motivate and assist members who face challenges in accessing care.

• Deliver peer support, direction, advocacy, resources, encouragement, and attentive listening for individuals dealing with mental health, addiction, or other life obstacles.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.

• Must have current SCAN Membership.

• Competency in operating a computer and navigating various systems, including online timesheets and call center software.

• Significant experience with MS Office products and internet navigation.

• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to convey personal SCAN membership experiences.

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment.

• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and dependable transportation are required.

• Background check is mandatory.
