This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Perform ongoing reviews, evaluations, and gathering of open-source information utilizing various systems and sources to identify potential threats.
• Independently create and distribute intelligence products derived from open-source collection initiatives.
• Evaluate risks and threats, monitor social media, analyze company assets or events, and offer situational crisis monitoring assistance.
• Examine threatening communications and developments aimed at company facilities, assets, or personnel.
• Keep track of news and social media for threats or risks related to events or operations.
• Conduct initial intelligence gathering to support team research and production efforts.
• Establish and refine intelligence processes to adapt to evolving requirements and avert strategic surprises.
• Investigate financial, criminal, and nation-state inquiries.
• Deliver data-driven analytical evaluations of operational and strategic risks or threats to the company.
• Inform the department Manager of identified threats around the clock.
• Review potentially offensive or hateful content as part of monitoring responsibilities.
• BA/BS degree.
• Work schedule of 5 days a week for 8 hours each day.
• Experience in OSINT across diverse vendor tools.
• Skill in assessing and evaluating sensitive situations.
• Ability to swiftly and accurately identify and address critical issues.
• Proficient in researching, investigating, compiling, and assessing information.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Capability to synthesize facts, concepts, and principles.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to integrate intelligence from multiple sources into products that convey risk and opportunity.
• Proficient in assessing and evaluating sensitive situations and responding promptly to critical issues.
• Ability to convert data and technical specifics into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Capability to multitask and think critically.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the location of the position without visa sponsorship.
• Preferred: 1–2+ years of relevant intelligence or risk-analysis experience.
• Preferred: familiarity with the intelligence cycle.
• Preferred: experience in private-sector consulting, advisory, or high-tech firms.
• Preferred: experience utilizing technological resources for research and analysis.
• Preferred: expertise in criminal, financial, or fraud investigations, or knowledge of nation-state tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Preferred: proficiency with generative AI and cutting-edge models such as Gemini.
• Preferred: technical competence in commercial OSINT tools, developer tools, Python, and command-line interfaces, including cryptocurrency transaction analysis.
• Preferred: understanding of regional geopolitics or professional-level language proficiency relevant to China, Russia, the Middle East, or APAC.
• Preferred: comprehensive knowledge of the intelligence cycle with professional experience applying its principles.
