This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Draft, review, and negotiate customer contracts, which include SaaS subscription agreements, master service agreements, data processing agreements (DPAs), and statements of work.
• Maintain and enhance BeNeering's standard contract templates to ensure they align with best practices for a SaaS provider.
• Identify and highlight legal risks in contract language proposed by customers, particularly concerning intellectual property, liability, data protection, and service levels.
• Provide legal support to the sales team during commercial negotiations, facilitating efficient deal closures while minimizing unnecessary legal risks.
• Ensure that BeNeering's contracts are compliant with relevant laws, including GDPR, and accurately reflect the realities of a SaaS delivery model.
• Establish and manage a contract repository while developing internal processes for effective contract management.
• Stay updated on legal developments pertinent to SaaS, AI, data protection, and procurement technology.
• Completion of the first or second state exam (Erstes or Zweites Juristisches Staatsexamen) in Germany.
• Strong academic credentials with a keen interest in commercial, technology, or IT law.
• Initial exposure to contract law, IP law, or data protection through internships, university clinics, or the Referendariat.
• Proficiency in both German and English.
• Detail-oriented, pragmatic, and possessing a business-minded outlook — recognizing that legal work supports commercial objectives.
