Junior Graphic Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Familiarize yourself with and implement brand guidelines and values in both print and digital design projects.

• Design captivating web visuals, including email and page banners, infographics, and other related materials.

• Generate graphics and layouts utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite.

• Work in tandem with marketing teams to develop content for campaigns across a variety of media platforms.

• Create and modify brochures, promotional documents, and various marketing materials.

• Produce and format templated PDFs for thought leadership articles.

• Create and update fillable PDFs using Adobe Acrobat, Word, PowerPoint, and Creative Suite tools.

• Edit, resize, and enhance images and staff photographs with Adobe Photoshop.

• Proofread and verify correct English usage in short-form content.

• Ensure accurate file naming, organization, and storage.

• Assist in quality control and peer reviews.

• Prioritize and organize design requests to meet specified deadlines.

• Develop both static and animated data visualizations using tools such as Flourish.

• Collaborate with the Senior Designer, web agency, and Marketing teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects; familiarity with other Adobe tools is advantageous.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

• Experience with Figma is essential.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Capability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.

• Ability to interpret briefs and translate concepts into engaging visual representations.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Experience in developing visual concepts and designing infographics.

• Basic skills in animation.

• Solid understanding of branding principles and marketing strategies.

• Strong teamwork abilities and the capacity to stay self-motivated.

• Creative mindset with the ability to produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.

• A minimum of 1.5 years of relevant experience with a portfolio that demonstrates design skills.

• Proficient Excel skills and some experience in data visualization would be beneficial.

• Legally authorized to reside and work in South Africa without employer sponsorship.
