This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.
• You will tackle our most complex design challenges, assist others in enhancing their designs by expanding and refining our proprietary design system, and provide consultation on custom design projects required by Product Engineers.
• Revamped our mobile web application by engaging with frequent users, wireframing new user flows, implementing the design system, and utilizing that system to transform wireframes into a refined user interface.
• Developed a collection of adaptable, composable components within our design system that enable other engineers to effortlessly create aesthetically pleasing and consistent setup wizards throughout our product.
• Assisted a Product Engineer in enhancing the information hierarchy and readability of their design for viewing candidate assessments, allowing recruiters to quickly interpret information and identify anomalies.
• Junior Design Engineer (This Posting) - You should possess *no more than* 2 years of industry experience as a designer or engineer. We want to see projects (personal or professional) that feature at least a few users and demonstrate strong visual taste and developing talent in both UI/UX and Engineering.
• At least 2 years of continuous experience (e.g., internships do not count) as an Engineer or Designer for Design Engineer level. You should have strong skills in both Design and Engineering, with exceptional expertise in the discipline you practice full-time. Regardless of your background, we expect experience in designing products *and* delivering code to hundreds of users (even if through side projects).
• Staff Design Engineer - We are seeking individuals who have professionally practiced our version of Design Engineering. This may not have been under a formal title, but you have significantly contributed to a design system and designed and implemented features for hundreds of users, iterating on them based on user feedback.
