Junior Cybersecurity Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Georgia.

📋 Description

• Handle requests and notifications related to security, encompassing access management, alerts from security tools, and vulnerability evaluations.

• Detect and assist in mitigating security challenges, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities associated with the corporate infrastructure.

• Create, implement, and maintain security protocols that safeguard corporate infrastructure.

• Support the processes of identity and access management.

• Establish a knowledge repository for the operation of products and services.

• Aid security analytics during the incident response process.

• Collaborate with Operations and Infrastructure teams on asset security matters.

• Work closely with Administrators, Network Operations Center (NOC), Operations, IT Compliance, infrastructure teams, and business personnel seeking security-related assistance.

• Engage in Agile two-week sprints, which include grooming, planning, and retrospectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 1 year of experience in server administration, network engineering, site reliability engineering, infrastructure security, cloud security, or systems engineering.

• Familiarity with Linux, Windows, and Mac operating systems, alongside common OS hardening techniques.

• Technical expertise in network protection and hardening of network devices.

• Proficiency in automation (Bash, Python).

• Understanding of how computer attacks are executed.

• A strong enthusiasm for advancing in cybersecurity.

• Capability to work collaboratively, listen effectively, and learn independently.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills (Russian C1 and English B1).

• Strong analytical mindset for problem-solving.

• Nice to have: Background in cybersecurity.

• Nice to have: Experience with AI tools for technical or cybersecurity tasks.

• Nice to have: Experience in vulnerability assessment.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, etc.).

• Nice to have: Understanding of the tactics and techniques employed by intruders and methods to defend against them.
