Junior Contract Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in acquisition and procurement processes throughout the contract lifecycle.

• Aid in the preparation, review, and management of federal contracts, modifications, and procurement documentation.

• Ensure adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) standards.

• Perform market research, price analysis, and cost analysis to inform procurement decisions.

• Evaluate procurement data and offer recommendations for contract actions and acquisition strategies.

• Collaborate with government stakeholders, contractors, and vendors on procurement activities.

• Facilitate fact-finding, issue resolution, and problem analysis related to contracts.

• Maintain accurate acquisition records, reports, and procurement documentation.

• Utilize procurement and contract writing systems such as PD2 (preferred).

• Create reports, presentations, and correspondence using Microsoft Office tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 24 semester hours in business-related disciplines such as accounting, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, marketing, or quantitative methods.

• At least 2 years of experience in supporting federal contracting or procurement functions within a GS-1102 or similar environment.

• Understanding of federal contracting principles, procurement regulations, and acquisition procedures.

• Familiarity with FAR and federal procurement policies.

• Knowledge of price/cost analysis and procurement evaluation techniques.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Adobe Acrobat.
