DBA Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Installation, configuration, and management of databases, adhering to industry best practices;

• Ensure the effective functioning of the IT management system;

• Suggest and implement enhancements to database systems;

• Assist in the development of database automation;

• Create database automations and maintain the continuity of processes;

• Monitor and respond to events and alerts from environmental control tools, while reviewing monitoring consoles;

• Identify, assess, and address vulnerabilities and security weaknesses in information assets;

• Conduct and support both internal and external audits;

• Take responsibility for and engage in project activities;

• Oversee company communication channels, providing user support and assistance;

• Document all actions taken in tasks and keep backlog tools updated;

• Aid in the creation and revision of procedures, standards, policies, and other environmental documentation;

• Plan actions and projects within the area by estimating costs and presenting to senior management;

• Ensure adherence to the area’s processes, standards, and policies;

• Enhance internal processes by utilizing market frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Oracle Database administration, particularly in critical, corporate, and high-availability settings.

• Advanced proficiency in:

• - Oracle Database;

• - Oracle RAC;

• - Oracle ASM;

• - Oracle Data Guard;

• - RMAN, backup, restore, and recovery;

• - Performance tuning;

• - SQL analysis, execution plans, waits, locks, sessions, and indexes;

• - Administration of tablespaces, datafiles, archivelogs, FRA, jobs, users, roles, and profiles;

• - Application of patches, upgrades, and maintenance in Oracle environments;

• - Database security, access management, auditing, and hardening best practices;

• - Linux/Unix operating systems;

• - Shell scripting and/or PL/SQL for routine automation and operational support;

• - Database monitoring, capacity, availability, and performance;

• - Management of critical incidents, root cause analysis, and defining corrective and preventive measures.

• Differentiators:

• - Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager;

• - Understanding of Oracle GoldenGate;

• - Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB;

• - Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix, Grafana, or similar;

• - Proficiency in Ansible, Python, or other automation tools;

• - Experience in virtualized environments, cloud, or corporate infrastructure.
