Junior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Assist client stakeholders, contract leadership, the product owner, the Lead Business Analyst, and the DevSecOps team in gathering and analyzing business requirements, crafting user stories, managing and identifying functional requirements, and engaging in agile ceremonies.

• Comprehend the existing "as-is" platform along with its associated business processes and workflows.

• Approach user stories with an inquisitive mindset, asking questions about how each user story or task integrates into the larger context to uncover dependencies, related tasks, and concealed requirements.

• Recognize potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle and adhere to PMO processes for reporting them.

• Contribute to enhancements aimed at improving the overall project and our operational methodologies, refining agile processes, and elevating the quality of client-facing reporting.

• Assist in defining the scope of each release and support the development of documentation to ensure consistent processes across all areas of DevSecOps.

• Provide comprehensive documentation, including user stories, use cases, and functional specifications, to serve as a reference for developers.

• Establish acceptance criteria and collaborate with QA to verify that the product fulfills the business requirements.

• Work closely with development and QA teams to continuously enhance processes, address gaps in development or testing workflows, and facilitate successful releases and patches.

• Validate product features and requirements to ensure compliance with acceptance criteria.

• Set standards pertaining to user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements in conjunction with the Scrum Master and uphold them.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and project management utilizing tools such as Jira.

• Over 2 years of experience in business analysis and systems development.

• More than 1 year of experience with Agile methodologies and project management using tools including Jira.

• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Experience in managing project requirements.

• Competence in creating reports and supporting presentations to communicate sprint status, sprint planning updates, and other development-related metrics.

• Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex concepts and workflows to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
