Junior Billing Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Generate invoices (NFS-e, NF-e) in compliance with applicable laws.

• Confirm client details (CNPJ, address, registration, tax regime).

• Validate service codes (LC 116, NBS) and taxation (ISS, IBS/CBS – future).

• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations (amounts, billing frequency, scope).

• Verify information obtained from departments like Sales, Operations, and Projects.

• Review hours (Time & Material), measurements, or deliverables (Fixed Price).

• Analyze discrepancies prior to invoice issuance (amounts, taxes, rates).

• Manage billing timelines (cut-off, monthly close).

• Track services rendered versus billed amounts.

• Ensure billing occurs within the appropriate period (accrual vs. cash basis).

• Calculate applicable taxes: ISS, PIS/COFINS, IRRF / CSLL / INSS (withholdings).

• Evaluate withholding at source based on service type and client.

• Confirm fiscal classification and potential tax advantages.

• Dispatch invoices and payment slips/bills (boletos/invoices).

• Address inquiries regarding amounts and taxes.

• Resolve billing disputes.

• Request validation of hours/measurements when necessary.

• Assist the collections team in monitoring due dates.

• Check payment terms (deadlines, exceptions).

• Identify financial implications (e.g., deadline extensions).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Financial Management, or related fields.

• Basic understanding of billing and financial processes.

• Initial experience in issuing invoices (NFS-e / NF-e).

• Fundamental knowledge of taxes: ISS, PIS/COFINS, IRRF.

• Proficient in Excel (basic to intermediate level).

• Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with SAP is advantageous).

• Prior experience of 6 months to 2 years in Billing, Finance, or Administrative roles.
