This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Management of payment-related risks
• Oversee chargebacks, disputes, fraud patterns, refunds, failed payments, and other indicators of payment risk.
• Detect risk surges early and coordinate strategies to mitigate them.
• Evaluate payment risks based on market, PSP, payment method, issuer, BIN, traffic source, and user demographics.
• Assist in maintaining chargeback and fraud rates within acceptable thresholds set by card schemes and PSPs.
• Collaborate with Support, Operations, Product, and Legal teams to minimize preventable chargebacks and payment complaints.
• Compile regular reports on trends in payment risk and key concerns.
• Support for routing and payment performance
• Assist in routing experiments across various PSPs, countries, payment methods, and user demographics.
• Track the effects of routing modifications on acceptance rates, chargebacks, fraud, refunds, costs, and payment consistency.
• Aid in assessing whether a routing modification is effective or introduces additional risk.
• Ensure thorough documentation of routing logic, ongoing experiments, and historical insights.
• Provide support to the Payments Product Manager with recommendations derived from payment data.
• Operations related to billing
• Investigate issues related to payments, such as failed transactions, double charges, refunds, disputes, retries, renewals, and incidents with PSPs.
• Coordinate with Engineering for any technical investigations or resolutions that may be required.
• Create and monitor support tickets with PSPs, Primer.io, and other vendors.
• Assist Customer Support by providing clear explanations and instructions for payment-related inquiries.
• Document recurring issues, escalation processes, and operational workflows.
• Identify areas of manual or repetitive tasks and propose process enhancements.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payments, billing operations, payment risk management, fraud operations, fintech operations, or a comparable role.
• Solid understanding of online payments, card transactions, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, and payment failures.
• Experience collaborating with PSPs, payment gateways, acquirers, payment orchestrators, or fraud/risk management tools.
• Capability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate issues effectively.
• Strong sense of ownership and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across various teams: Product, Engineering, Analytics, Operations, Support, Legal, and external vendors.
• Proficient written communication skills with a focus on clear documentation of processes.
