
Junior Backend .NET Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the creation of backend services utilizing the .NET Framework / .NET 10 and C#.
• Aid in the development and upkeep of RESTful APIs utilized by web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate alongside senior engineers to construct scalable and secure backend systems.
• Work with front-end engineers to seamlessly integrate user-facing components with backend services.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of databases using SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly documented code in accordance with established engineering standards.
• Engage in code reviews and apply feedback to enhance development practices.
• Assist in diagnosing application issues and providing support for production systems.
• Contribute to automated testing efforts and adhere to Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Continue to enhance technical skills and stay updated on advancing .NET technologies.
• May undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in software development (internships or academic projects are considered).
• Basic knowledge of C# and .NET Core / .NET technologies.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and concepts related to backend development.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
• Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git).
• A strong desire to learn and develop within a collaborative engineering environment.
• Effective problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
• Experience with ASP.NET Web API or similar frameworks is preferred.
• Familiarity with ORMs such as Dapper or Entity Framework is preferred.
• Exposure to Agile development environments is preferred.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices is preferred.
• Internship or project experience in developing backend applications is preferred.
